PROPOSED MINUTES Chairperson Bill Martin called the meeting to order @ 7:00 P.M. Roll call - Steve Santeler, Joe Abell, Bill Martin, Marie Baker - present, Bob Reese - absent The Agenda was posted properly. Amend Agenda - Cancel Wisconsin Power & Light agenda item. Put Cricket Communications last on Agenda. Bill made a motion to approve the April 2, 2008 proposed minutes, Marie seconded, Carried 4-0 PUBLIC COMMENT Dan Jordan wanted to know how far WI Power’s 3 phase lines would be going. Diane Voss opposed Al Ritchey’s amendments (see attached). ATTORNEY KEN CONELL FOR JOSEPH & FRANCINE M. DELUCA TRUST - REQUEST FOR RE-ZONE A-1 TO C-2 EXCEPT ROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY AND LAND ZONED C-4 (LAKEVILLE AND ALDEN ROAD) Joe made a motion to approve the rezone, Steve seconded, carried unanimously 4-0 NEW BUSINESS: ATTORNEY ANTHONY A. COLETTI FOR KEITH D. GIBSON AND BETTY J. GIBSON - VARIANCE REQUEST TO INSTALL A MOTORIZED LIFT ADJACENT TO THE EXISTING STAIRCASE FOR PURPOSES OF ENSURING ACCESS TO THE LAKE AND LAKESHORE (1984 NORTH LAKE SHORE DRIVE, TOWN OF WALWORTH, WI) Marie made a motion to approve the Variance Request, Bill seconded, carried unanimously 4-0 WISCONSIN POWER AND LIGHT - REBUILDING A PORTION OF THEIR 1-PHASE OH LINE TO A 3-PHASE OVERHEAD LINE (COBBLESTONE ROAD) Removed from Agenda CRICKET COMMUNICATIONS - REQUEST FOR A 5 FOOT TOWER EXTENSION WITH ANTENNAS AND EQUIPMENT AT THE EXISTING SITE LOCATED AT 202 W. MAIN STREET. Marie made a motion to approve request, Steve seconded, carried unanimously 4-0 NORTHERN TRUST COMPANY, TRUSTEE OF THE DOROTHY GOES GRAY TRUST - REZONE REQUEST A-1 TO A-2 (NORTH WALWORTH ROAD AND SIX CORNERS ROAD) No one present Marie made a motion to table the matter, Joe seconded, carried unanimously 4-0 AL RITCHEY (AL’S AUTO BODY & ARBORETUM) AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL LAND USE -REQUEST FOR INCIDENTAL SALES DURING ARBORETUM TOURS, REQUEST FOR ALLOWANCE OF 2-3 DAYS PRIOR & AFTER HOSTA FEST FOR SETTING UP AND TAKING DOWN PERMITTED EVENT TENTS, REQUEST FOR MINIMUM OVERFLOW PARKING ON HIS GRASS DURING HOSTA FEST. TOTAL VEHICLES 5-10 FOR PERSONAL, FAMILY, RELATIVES & VOLUNTEERS. (NORTH WALWORTH ROAD) Marie presented Julie Brach’s email opposing the amendments (see attached). Steve made a motion to approve the Amendments with the following conditions, Bill seconded, carried unanimously 4-0 1. Incidental Sales allowed DURING TOURS - sale of only water, lemonade and occasional Hosta sale are allowed. Plant (Hosta) prices are not allowed to be displayed or advertised. Incidental Sales allowed ONLY DURING HOST FEST - sale of hats, t-shirts, buttons, water, lemonade and Hostas are allowed. ABSOLUTELY NO ADVERTISING/SOLICITATION OR SIGNS ARE ALLOWED REGARDING ITEMS FOR SALE AT ANY TIME. 2. Tents - can put up tents 1 day prior to Hosta Fest. All tents will be taken down within 1 day if no rain or if rain, then within 2 days. 3. Parking - During Hosta Fest only five (5) cars are allowed to be parked on the grass for family and volunteers.
