07.18.06-Road Use During Competitions Resolution

RESOLUTION NO. 07.18.06 OF THE TOWN OF WALWORTH Board Policy for Use of Roads during competitions and fundraisers

WHEREAS, elected officials of the Town of Walworth must protect the safety of Town residents and the property of the Town of Walworth;

WHEREAS, it has been the policy of the Board for the Town of Walworth to require anyone who wants to alter roads and road right of ways to be on file with an approved written request before work begins.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Walworth hereby adopts procedures that must be followed by those wanting to use the Roads for competitions, fund raisers, or any other matter.

The Clerk of the Town of Walworth is hereby directed to carry out the provisions of this Resolution.

Policy –

1. A written request to use the road must be presented to the Board one month prior to competition/ event date. 2. There will be a refundable deposit of $200.00 required before approval can be given in case of damages. Upon evaluation of Road Supervisor. 3. Race officials must carry a copy of notification of approval with them during set-up, competition, and take down. They must present it upon request. 4. Roads may NOT be painted on. Only sidewalk chalk can be used. Or signs no spray.
